New Upgraded 2012 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet

Ford has given several makeovers to its Mustang in the last couple of years. The changes have brought in new engines as well as designs. Evidently, since the release of Mustang 2008, the car has been accompanied by drag special from Ford Racing.

As the 2012 model of Mustang is all set to hop out of the company’s kitty, the 2012 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet prepares to hit dragstrips. The Cobra Jet has been crafted to race in the NHRA Stock and Super Stock racing classes. It is a turnkey drag car and available through Ford racing catalogue.

Going back to 2010, the Mustang Cobra Jet then was revamped with complete race-prepared automatic or manual transmissions along with drag race-specific shocks and springs. The model also spoke of new attributes like manual steering and brakes, and a fully certified roll cage.

The 2012 model comes with various upgrades. The car has been fuelled with 5.4-liter supercharged engine featuring standard aluminum block. Owners of the 2012 Mustang can indulge into Manley H-beam rods, upgraded brakes and refreshed rear suspension setup with new spring rates. It is seated on black anodized wheels from Weld Racing.

Owners can also opt for the new Whipple supercharger that is capable of bringing an eight second ET to the 2012 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet. The car can be picked in colors like Red, Grabber Blue and Winner White.
