DEARBORN, Michigan — Ford will take the wraps off a new “Euro-focused” small car at the 2011 Geneva Auto Show, but tells Inside Line it is not likely to be sold in the U.S.
The Dearborn automaker on Tuesday said it will debut a “groundbreaking all-new vehicle” in Geneva.
“(It’s a) Euro-focused car, small…not likely for the U.S.,” said Mark Schirmer, Ford spokesman in an e-mailed response to a query from Inside Line. “Not a lot of other details now. Good and needed product for Europe, but less relevant for the U.S.”
Also set to make its global debut in Geneva is the Ford Ranger Wildtrak, due to go on sale in Europe by the end of the year. Ford will also show off the Metal Ka, a cosmetics package set to go on sale in Europe in April.
