To celebrate the renewal of their long standing partnership Ford Motor Company and Kentucky Speedway are excited to announce a special edition 2012 Mustang GT convertible. Just 43 of the Kentucky Speedway Mustang Pace Cars will be built, matching the number of drivers that will compete in the inaugural Quaker State 400. The all white Mustangs, which are numbered for collectability purposes, will feature unique badging along with Nascar and Kentucky Speedway logos.
Buyers of the limited edition Kentucky Speedway Mustang Pace Cars will receive a unique experience at the race on July 9th. Not only will they get four free tickets to the race but will be invited to drive their vehicle, with a Sprint Cup driver aboard, around the 1.5 mile tri-oval during the parade lap prior to the start of the race.
“Ford vehicles built Kentucky Speedway and have been our official vehicle since. It’s natural for us to work together to spotlight the first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series visit to this region. Ford Racing and our regional Ford dealers are coming through once again with great programs that showcase our ‘Quaker State 400’ and the outstanding Ford lineup,” Kentucky Speedway General Manager Mark Simendinger said.
